Do you like free hugs? Building meaningful relationships? Sharing your gifts and talents to brighten someone's day? Each year, we welcome the unique abilities and interests of hundreds of volunteers to help strengthen the Luther Home of Mercy community. Whether you are able to stop by and spend time with a new friend once a week or pick up a paint brush at an annual cleanup event, Luther Home of Mercy encourages you to join our team of volunteers.

Many people who work with or have a family member with an intellectual or developmental disability will tell you, there's something amazing about them. We often find that volunteers who work with the Luther Home community experience that same feeling. Through sharing a song, a dance or lending a listening ear, mutual relationships and long lasting friendships are built leaving a lifelong impact on the volunteer and the LHM community.

With 20 group homes and 6 day habilitation sites in the Greater Toledo area along with our Williston campus, you are never too far to become involved in the life of Luther Home. Our most popular volunteer opportunities include seasonal cleanup projects, helping with parties and events and in-home Bible study groups. We welcome the opportunity to meet with each individual who is interested in becoming a LHM volunteer to help them find the best fit for their talents and desires.
